Character and Morals
Should she travel and leave her sister who cannot take good care of herself?
I am an unmarried muslim woman living in Germany. The islamophobia is rising here. But alhamdulillah I now have a chance to live in Malaysia with my son. There I can live my religion better in sha Allah. Here in Germany I am taking care of my 53 old muslim sister who lives alone in a flat but has contact to other muslims. She is suffering from a serious lack of independence since childhood. She oftenly behaves and thinks like a child and the matters of everyday life are a real challenge for her. When there is no help from others my sister is sometimes able to act more or less independently but it is not so easy for me to estimate when that is the case. If I would leave her alone she will probably not be able to handle her live. She has a muslim son but the relationship between both is not the best and he himself has many problems in life. If I leave Germany one of my two muslim daughters will still be here living close to my sister but it might be a heavy burden to take care of my sister. (My other daughter lives about 100 kilometers away from my sister.) There could be a chance for my sister to live in Malaysia in the case that her son studies there. But he has (as far as I know) not done serious steps until now to study there. My non-muslim parents asked me before they died to take care of my sister. I can't remember that I said to them: "I promise it!". Probably I said, that they shouldn't worry. Is it okay for me to go to Malaysia? What do you think? How to Improve Your Character in Islam
I have a very bad character; I am disobedient and defiant towards my mother and I often make her angry. Sometimes my manners and character are good, but most of the time they are bad. How can I improve my character and my manners? What are the things that will help me to be kind to my parents and develop a good character? Will I be punished if my character and manners are bad? Or is having a good character something that is only good but is not essential? When my character is good, I feel that I am showing off, and I feel that I am committing minor shirk (by showing off). So how can I remain steadfast in having a good character and good manners, whilst being sincere to Allah in that regard?Does giving thanks when calamity strikes increase calamities?
Does giving thanks when calamity strikes increase calamities, because Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And (remember) when your Lord proclaimed: ‘If you give thanks, I will give you more (of My Blessings), but if you are thankless, verily! My Punishment is indeed severe’” [Ibraaheem 14:7]? And does giving praise mean the same as giving thanks? He is asking how he can be truly just in all things

There are some writers, especially on the Internet, who spread news without verifying it, which is confusing the Muslims and making them despair, such as the claim that one of the Muslim cities has fallen, or that one of their leaders has been killed, and other reports which lead to despair and weakening of morale… All of that is without any proof or certainty that the news is true… Some of them even write at the end of their articles, “This is what I have heard but I am not sure whether the report is true”!
