Paying zakaah on behalf of workers

We have a factory and a farm in which there are workers who are paid wages. Can we pay zakaat al-fitr on their behalf, or should they pay it for themselves?.
Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah and his family.
The workers who are paid wages in return for their work in the factory and on the farm are the ones who should pay zakaat al-fitr for themselves, because the basic principle is that it is obligatory upon them. (So you do not have to pay it on their behalf).
And Allaah is the Source of strength.
