I am a pilgrim and my mother is with me. I want to delay tawaaf al-ifaadah and tawaaf al-wadaa’ and go to al-Taa’if, then come back at the end of Dhu’l-Hijjah and do tawaaf al-ifaadah.
He wants to go out to al-Taa’if then come back to do tawaaf al-ifaadah and tawaaf al-wadaa’
Question: 106551
Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah and his family.
If he is one of the inhabitants of al-Taa’if, it is not permissible, and if he is not one of the inhabitants of al-Taa’if, there is nothing wrong with it, because if he is one of the inhabitants of al-Taa’if then that means he is going back to his home before his Hajj ends, but if he is not one of the inhabitants of al-Taa’if, then he is still travelling, so there is nothing wrong with it. But there is no need to delay it until the end of the Dhu’l-Hijjah, because by the middle of the month the crowds may have diminished to a large extent, as when the people have finished their Hajj they leave.
