What is the importance of Makkah for the Muslim world?.
The importance of Makkah for the Muslims
Question: 106609
Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah and his family.
Allah has made it a place of resort for mankind and a place of safety (cf. al-Baqarah 2:125), and a safe sanctuary in which the pilgrims and scholars may gather to perform their rituals in the utmost peace and tranquillity, hoping for the reward of Allah, may He be glorified, and fearing His punishment. In Makkah, the Muslims get to know one another and advise one another and consult one another with regard to their religious and worldly concerns. The reward for prayer and righteous deeds in Makkah is greatly multiplied.
And Allah is the source of strength; may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and Companions. End quote.
