Is there a farewell tawaaf for ‘Umrah?

Question: 109305

Is there a farewell tawaaf for ‘Umrah done other than at the time of Hajj, or not?.

Answer

Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah and his family.

It is prescribed for the one who does ‘Umrah, especially if he stays in Makkah after doing his ‘Umrah, to do a farewell tawaaf at the time when he is leaving Makkah al-Mukarramah, but that is not obligatory according to the more correct of the two scholarly opinions.

And Allah is the Source of strength. May Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions. End quote.
