Can You Do Wudu Naked?

The man’s ‘awrah is from the navel to the knees, so what is the ruling on doing wudu naked or wearing shorts that do not cover the knees?
Summary of answer
You can do wudu naked because uncovering the `awrah or wearing shorts does not invalidate wudu.

If you do wudu naked , your wudu is valid, because uncovering the `awrah or wearing shorts does not invalidate one’s wudu, but it is haram for you to uncover your `awrah in front of anyone except your wife or concubine (a slave woman who belongs to a man and with whom he is permitted to have intercourse).
