Is it permissible for a Muslim who is on a long journey to combine his prayers at the end of the day?
Ruling on a traveller joining his prayers at the end of the day
Question: 22255
Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah and his family.
This is a great wrong which was not suggested by any of the scholars. Rather it is permissible for the traveler to combine Zuhr and ‘Asr only, at the time of either of them, before the sun starts to set, and to combine Maghrib and ‘Ishaa’ at the time of either of them, before midnight. With regard to Fajr, it cannot be joined to any other prayer, rather it should always be prayed on time, whether one is traveling or not, before the sun rises. And Allaah is the Source of strength.
