Should he recite the du‘aa’ known as “expiation for the gathering” after a virtual [online] conversation ends?
Question: 223321
Do virtual [online] conversations and chats come under the same rulings of gatherings at the end of which it is mustahabb to recite the “expiation for the gathering”?
Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah and his family.
We put this question to our shaykh, ‘Abd ar-Rahmaan al-Barraak (may Allah preserve him) and he said: Yes, they come under the same ruling as other gatherings, so when they end, they should be concluded by reciting the du‘aa’ known as “expiation for the gathering.”
