He was not able to stay overnight in Muzdalifah
Question: 36943
We were not able to stay overnight in Muzdalifah because we could not find any place except on the road, and they did not let anyone stop on the road. So we left and went to Mina. Do we have to do anything?.
Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah and his family.
Shaykh Ibn Baz said:
If he could not find any place in Muzdalifah or if the soldiers prevented him from stopping there, then he does not have to do anything, because Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“So keep your duty to Allah and fear Him as much as you can” [al-Taghaabun 64:16]
But if that was because he took the matter lightly, then he has to offer a sacrifice and repent.
