He found a watch in Makkah and he picked it up and left
Question: 8109
When I went for Hajj, I found a watch in a washroom in Makkah. I forget and took it, then I went to Mina, ‘Arafah and Muzdalifah. Then someone told me that there are places where found items may be handed in, but I wasn’t able to reach them. What should I do with the watch?
Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah and his family.
You have to send it to the court in Makkah and tell them that
you found it on such-and-such a day in such-and-such a place.
