I know that making statues is haraam, but if a person has a tiger skin or a skin of an onager or ram, and he stuffs it with straw or cotton, and makes a head and limbs for it the same colour as the skin, and puts it in the entryway to his house or sitting room for the purpose of decoration only, is this regarded as haraam or permissible?.

Question: 105418
Answer
Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah and his family.
It is haraam to do what is mentioned, because it is similar to statues, and because it is idle activity in which there is no benefit.
And Allah is the source of strength. Make Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and Companions. End quote.
