It is not essential to say specific words when entering ihram
Question: 109175
Answer
Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah and his family.
He does not have to say the exact words that are narrated, because this is not an act of worship in which the exact words have to be said, and as that is the case it is sufficient to express the same meaning.
Majmoo‘ Fataawa Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (22/26)
What is meant is that if one says words that have the same meaning as his words, “If I cannot complete ‘umrah then I have exited ihram”, that is sufficient.
