I am a handicapped Muslim who will be going to perform Umrah this year, InshAllah. I need my brother to meet me in Jeddah to take me to Mecca and Madinah. He wants to perform Umrah too and insists on paying his ticket although I will pay for our hotel, meals, and expenses. Can he pay for his ticket or must I pay for his ticket as well as all his expenses since he's coming to help me?

Who should pay for the one who is going to take care of a handicapped person when going for ‘Umrah?
Question: 11884
Answer
Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah and his family.
There is nothing wrong with you paying for his ticket, or with him paying for his ticket himself, as he is insisting on doing so and he is seeking reward from Allaah. So let him pay, and he will also be rewarded for taking care of you, in sha Allah.
You will also be rewarded for paying the rest of the expenses for both of you. And Allaah is the Source of help.
