Filming conferences and celebrations on video

Shaykh ‘Abd al-‘Azeez ibn Baz (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked this question and he said: 

If there is the hope that the general interest will be served by filming the party, conference or meeting in which people are called to Allah, and if it is thought that this will do more good than harm and that this will have good consequences and benefit the people, then there is nothing wrong with that in sha Allah.”
