Is it permissible to buy a satellite dish so that I can watch al-Majd channel for the purpose of seeking knowledge, as on this channel there are excellent scholars who offer commentaries on some Islamic works. I hope you can advise me, may Allaah reward you with good.

Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah and his family.
“The al-Majd channel is a huge Islamic project which represents a major, important step forward in the field of Islamic media.”
It seems to me now, having watched this channel for a while, that bringing this channel into homes is something acceptable, and the one who does that should not be denounced.
The benefits and positive features outweigh its errors and negative features. But it should be noted that you should only watch this channel and not other channels which show haraam things.
Perhaps that can be achieved by setting up the dish that is only for this channel and it is very important to communicate with this channel in order to advise them so that they may deal with their mistakes and improve their quality.
