Childrens Upbringing
Husband’s responsibility towards his wife and children
8,818How Children Lived at the Time of Prophet Muhammad
1- The Companions used to fill their children’s day with the following: 1- they would teach them faith and Islam, 2- the children would help out their families with whatever they were able to do of day-to-day tasks and service, and 3- they also had their fair share of play and fun. 2- The Companions used to prepare their daughters to adhere to Islamic rulings from a young age, so they taught them to observe the etiquette that would instil shyness and chastity in them, in obedience to the command of Allah.5,943How to Combat the Dangers of Cartoons in Islam
How to combat the dangers of cartoons in Islam: • Focus on teaching children to memorise the Quran and to make the best use of their youthful energy and willingness to learn for that purpose. • Teach them to love Prophet Muhammad and his Companions by teaching them their biography and life stories, choosing age-appropriate books for the children. • Teach them something about issues of creed (`Aqidah) in a simple and straightforward manner. • Teach them to denounce and hate evil, and teach the child that he should not watch cartoons in which there is music or girls who are uncovered or crosses.6,535How to Deal With Stubborn Children in Islam
1- Raising children in Islam is a challenging but rewarding task. By relying on Allah and following His guidance, parents can raise children who are kind, compassionate, and God-fearing. 2- Muslims parents should handle children’s stubbornness with wisdom, deliberation and patience. Parents should show love and a sincere desire for children’s well-being out of love and care for them. The acceptable alternative to physical or verbal mistreatment is punishment that is fair but firm. This includes time-outs, loss of privileges, or other consequences that are appropriate for the child’s age and behavior.20,759Are Women Disregarded in Islam?
1. Disregarding daughters is the attitude of the people of Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic days of ignorance) and it is not the attitude of the people of Islam. 2. What is mentioned in the verses of the Quran describing sons as an adornment is simply stating how people regard them, and it is not a command to do that. 3. The Muslim should show compassion towards his daughters, love them and treat them kindly. 4. With regard to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stating that women form the majority of the people of Hell, that has nothing to do with not loving them or hating to have daughters. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said this to the women of the Companions to urge them to do good, not to condemn them. 5. Allah’s honouring of the sons of Adam includes women too.7,337Sinning in Front on One’s Kids
