There is nothing wrong with killing mice and rats. Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “There are five animals for which there is no blame on the one who kills them: crows, kites (hawk-like birds), mice/rats, scorpions and mad dogs.”

Siwak is a method of cleaning the mouth which also earns the pleasure of Allah. Siwak is sunnah and recommended at all times of night and day. The scholars have differed as to whether siwak should be done with the right hand or the left hand.
