There are no mosques near the farm; should he give up his work on the farm?

Question: 146574

Do I have to cancel the contract between me and the owner of the farm because there are no mosques here in this place? Or should I go back to work and there will be no sin on me?.

Answer

Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah and his family.

You do not have to cancel your contract, and you can stay on the farm. This is permissible provision so long as you are doing acceptable work and earning a halaal income. Praise Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, offer the prayers on time, say the adhaan and iqaamah, maintain your religious commitment  and be of good cheer, even if you are on your own. Praise be to Allah. End quote.

Shaykh ‘Abd al-‘Azeez ibn Baaz (may Allah have mercy on him)
