Imaam waiting for members of the congregation during rukoo’
Question: 26791
Answer
Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah and his family.
It is better not to hasten. It is better for the imaam to wait in a manner that does not cause hardship to the members of the congregation, because taking care of the people who joined the congregation first is more important. So he should pay attention to them, but if he waits for a little while so that those who have come late can join the rukoo’ or sujood or tashahhud with the imaam, this is better for the imaam.
