Lending in Islam is prescribed in the Quran and Sunnah, and by scholarly consensus. Some scholars view that lending is obligatory in Islam quoting the verse “… and refuse al-ma&#8217;un (small kindnesses).” [Al-Ma’un 107:7] as evidence.
