Supplication
Singling Out Ayat to Recite at Times of Hardship and Difficulty
It is not permissible to single out certain verses of the Quran to recite for specific purposes, unless there is specific Shar`i evidence to that effect. Therefore, there is no specific surah to recite when in difficulty.143,485What should I do about my supplication (du‘aa’), as I asked Allah to take from my lifespan and add it to my friend’s lifespan?

34,127Ruling on sending greetings of salaam the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and his two companions with salaam when seeing their graves on the television
If someone sees a picture of the grave of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and sends greetings of salaam upon him because he has remembered him, there is nothing wrong with that, but this is not the salaam of visitation that is recited at the grave of a deceased person. With regard to his two companions, it is prescribed to pray that Allah be pleased with them and have mercy on them when one remembers them; it is not prescribed to send greetings of salaam to them.10,212Du‘aa’ of the Sahaabah at the beginning of the month
