The virtues of Surat Al-Fatihah are: It is one of the pillars of the prayer. It is the best Surah of the Quran. It includes all three types of Tawhid. It refers to well-being for both hearts and bodies. It is a refutation of all the followers of falsehood. It sums up all the meanings of the divinely-revealed Books. It contains the most beneficial of supplications. It is the key to all goodness and happiness in this world and the hereafter.

There is no proven report about reading Surat As-Sajdah and Al-Mulk between Maghrib and `Isha’ or about the virtues of Surat Al-An`am. However, there is a proven report about the virtue of reciting Surat As-Sajdah in Fajr prayer on Friday.

The Hadith claiming specific virtues for reciting Surat Al-Muzzammil is fabricated and should not be followed. Instead, Muslims should focus on the authentic teachings of the Quran and the Prophet Muhammad. Reciting the Quran with sincerity and understanding its meanings brings spiritual benefits and guidance.

The Hadith about Surat Az-Zalzalah being equivalent to half of the Quran is inauthentic. Yet, some scholars of the Salaf followed this Hadith.

Whoever recites Surat Al-Mulk every night, Allah will protect him thereby from the punishment of the grave. Whoever wants to attain the virtue of reading Surat Al-Mulik before sleeping has to read it; it is not sufficient simply to listen to it.

Whoever memorises the Quran and acts upon it, Allah will reward him abundantly and honour him greatly. He will rise in status in Paradise to a level commensurate with what he memorised of the Quran.

Repeating a specific portion of what you have memorised for a time equivalent to the time that it takes to complete the entire Quran is not regarded as a khatm, but it will bring the virtue and reward for reciting the Quran as much as is recited. Reciting the Quran at a speed that is inappropriate is not allowed.
