The use of artificial wombs in Islam is not clearly permissible or prohibited due to the current lack of evidence and scientific certainty. However, if such technology is proven safe and adheres to strict Islamic guidelines, it may be considered permissible. Key conditions include: ensuring the procedure is free from harm, using only permissible tissues from the husband and wife, and that traditional methods are not viable.

What women have to do is to dispose of the frozen embryos. It is permissible for women to undergo further artificial insemination even if that is costly or difficult, because that harm cannot be compared to the possibility of embryos being mixed up, especially since this length of time has passed.

• Whatever is specifically for the adornment or beautification of women only, such as lipstick, nail polish, and so on, it is not permissible for men to adorn themselves with it. • There is nothing wrong with using things that are for the purpose of removing defects, such as using creams to remove spots from the face. • In the case of cosmetics that are used only for the purpose of beautification or adornment, it is not appropriate for men to use them. • If the use of something will lead to a change in the colour of the skin, from dark to light for example, if that change is temporary then there is nothing wrong with it.

The use of cryolipolysis to get rid of fat is permissible, with conditions: 1- It is predominantly assumed that there is no harm. 2- It should be done by a husband, or a woman, as long as the patient is a woman, and the purpose of the procedure is for improvement, and not for a therapeutic need. 3- If the fat is in the area of the `Awrah, which is between the navel and the knees, and the doctor is not the woman`s husband, then there must be a need to do it.

There is nothing wrong with using gene therapy to prevent or treat genetic disorders if it is free of harm or if any harm is minor and may be overlooked in comparison to the interest that is served and the expected benefits.

1. Seeking medication is obligatory in cases where not giving medication could cause death, disability or the loss of a limb, or where the sickness is bound to spread if not treated, as in contagious diseases. 2. Treatment and medication are ways of utilizing the laws of cause and effect that Allah has incorporated into the running of the universe. 3. Seeking the patient’s permission depends on whether he is qualified to give it (i.e., he should be of sound mind, mature and responsible). If this is not the case, then the permission of his guardian should be sought, within the limits set by Shari`ah.

If it is proven and confirmed by a committee of trustworthy doctors that the foetus has Down syndrome, and that is before the pregnancy has reached 120 days, it is permissible to abort it. It is not permissible to abort it after 120 days.

If inhaling the smoke of herbs is harmful, then it is prohibited to inhale it. If it is done for a medicinal benefit, then there is nothing wrong with it, because the basic principle is that things are permissible.
