When the boy reaches the age of ten, he should not sleep in the same bed as his mother or his sister or any woman other than his wife. Therefore, it is not permissible for you to sleep in the same bed as your mother; rather you have to sleep in a separate bed.

There is nothing to say that pointing one’s feet in the direction of the Qiblah is not allowed, but some of the scholars regarded it as disliked to stretch the feet out towards the Ka`bah if one is close to it.

There is no authentic hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) which would indicate that the one who recites the last 10 verses of Surah Al ‘Imran will have recorded for him the reward of spending the night in worship.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) told us how to protect ourselves from nightmares by reciting verses from the Quran and du’as narrated from him before going to sleep.

Sleeping after `Asr is not discouraged and the Hadith that reads: “Whoever sleeps after `Asr and loses his mind, let him blame no one but himself.” was classed as inauthentic by Shaykh Al-Albani.
