Basic Tenets of Faith
Seeking barakah (blessing) from water in which there is said to be a hair of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)I have attended a lecture in Jordan. It was about the supporting Islam and masjid Al-Aqsa. During the lecture, they brought water and said that a hair of the prophet (PBUH) is in this water. This hair exists in masjid Al-jazzar located in Akka, Palestine. They put the water into a small pot and mixed it with a large tank of water, so that it is enough for all women. I took some water like all women. The question is: is it permissible to seek barakah in such water, for purpose of cure? I still did not use this water.

Is Islamic `Aqidah Theoretical? Is Islamic `Aqidah a theoretical method or a practical method? What books can we read to learn about `Aqidah? How can we apply `Aqidah in real life? What are the ways of learning `Aqidah? Is doing one Islamic thing and not another (such as praying but not giving Zakah or not lowering the gaze etc) regarded as a fault in one’s `Aqidah? Do the Muslims nowadays need someone to teach them `Aqidah? I hope you can offer some information to one who wants to learn true `Aqidah according to the method of the Sahabah (may Allah be pleased with them).

Types of ‘uboodiyyahI read some verses which seem to indicate that the slaves of the Most Merciful are only the believers, such as the verse (interpretation of the meaning): “And the (faithful) slaves of the Most Gracious (Allaah) are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness” [al-Furqaan 25:63] But some other verses indicate that all people are the slaves of Allaah, such as the verse (interpretation of the meaning): “There is none in the heavens and the earth but comes unto the Most Gracious (Allaah) as a slave” [Maryam 19:93] How can we reconcile between these verses?.
He said that he committed zina with a woman but he was lyingI am suffering deep torment because of a sin that I committed in the past, and I do not know how to rid myself of it. My life has been turned into hell because of this thing. Five years ago I was living in a religious vacuum, and I was far away from Allaah. I have a cousin who was the only friend I had in the whole world. One day the Shaytaan tricked me, and I told my cousin that I had an illicit relationship with some girls, but in fact I had no relationship at all with them. I do not know the punishment for this sin. Unfortunately I thought that manhood meant having relationships with women as many young men think nowadays. No one knows about this and news of it did not reach those women. In Ramadaan last year I repented to Allaah. I had a relationship with some women by phone and internet, so I told them that I had repented and severed my ties with them. I felt the sweetness of faith that I had never felt before. But I still remember the sin that I committed several years ago. It has to do with people’s honour. I prayed istikhaarah and thought about it a great deal, and I am still hesitant. Should I tell my friend that I lied to him so as to prove to him that these women are innocent of what I said about them, in which case I will lose my only friend when he sees that I lied to him? Or should I keep quiet and not say anything, but I fear Allaah’s punishment for this sin, so what should I do?.
Meaning of the hadeeth: “The Shaytaan has despaired of ever being worshipped by the worshippers in the Arabian Peninsula”It is narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The Shaytaan has despaired of ever being worshipped by the worshippers in the Arabian Peninsula.” In another hadeeth it says: “Night and day will not cease until al-Laat and al-‘Uzza are worshipped.” And in another hadeeth it says: “Until the buttocks of the women of Daws bump into one another going around Dhu’l-Khalasah.” My question is: from the first hadeeth it may be understood that no shirk will ever be committed in the Arabian Peninsula. Whereas the second hadeeth indicates that it will be committed.
Jihad against the hypocritesThe hypocrites still raise their ugly heads from time to time, whenever they get the opportunity, in order to attack the basic and fundamental beliefs and practices of the ummah, or to cast doubts on its basic tenets, or to strip the community of its Islamic identity. What should we do about them, and how can we protect the ummah against their evil?.

Falseness Hadeeth About Adam Praying by Virtue of the ProphetI read this hadeeth (prophetic narration) and I would like to know whether it is saheeh (authentic) or not. “When Adam committed his sin, he said, ‘O Lord, I ask You by virtue of Muhammad to forgive me.’ Allah said, ‘O Adam, how do you know of Muhammad when I have not yet created him?’ He said, ‘O Lord, when You created me with Your own hand, and breathed into me the soul that You created, I raised my head and saw written on the pillars of the Throne, La ilaha ill-Allah Muhammad Rasool Allah [There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the messenger of Allah]. Then I knew that You would not mention in conjunction with Your name any but the most beloved of Your creation to You.’ Allah said, ‘You have spoken the truth, O Adam. He is indeed the most beloved of My creation to Me. Pray to me by virtue of Him, for I have forgiven you. Were it not for Muhammad, I would not have created you.”
