Ruling on applying the rules of tajweed to words other than the Quran
46,548Does Allah Come Down To the First Heaven On the Night of the Fifteenth of Sha’ban?
There is no sahih hadith concerning the virtue of the night of the fifteenth of Sha’ban. With regard to Allah’s descending on the 15th night of Sha’ban, there are hadith which are weak, but the reports that He descends every night are proven and sahih, so the night of the fifteenth of Sha’ban is included in that. For more, please see the detailed answer.101,185Should Laylat al-Nisf min Sha’ban Be Singled Out for Worship?
It is not prescribed to spend laylat a-nisf min Sha’ban in prayer or to fast on this day, or to single it out for certain acts of worship.133,628Can Muslims Celebrate Al-Isra’ and Al-Mi`raj?
It is not permissible for Muslims to celebrate the night of Al-Isra’ and Al-Mi`raj because the Prophet and his Companions did not celebrate it and they did not single it out in any way.263,568Does Wearing Silver Rings in Rajab Get You Closer to Allah?
It is permissible in Islam for men and women to wear silver rings. There is no basis for the belief that wearing silver rings in Rajab will get one closer to Allah.26,927Is there any proven hadeeth to suggest that the Sahaabah danced, that is quoted as evidence for dancing in dhikr circles?
64,940They usually recite al-Faatihah and the du‘aa’ (supplication) before starting to eat; what is the ruling on that?
49,446Is It Permissible to Celebrate Ashura?
1. If a person misses the fast of ‘Ashoora’, it cannot be made up because there is no proof for that, and because the reward is connected to fasting on the tenth day of Muharram, and that time has passed. 2. If a person is excused for not fasting – such as women who are menstruating or bleeding following childbirth, or those who are sick or are travelling – and he usually fasts on that day or he had the intention of fasting that day, then he will be rewarded for his intention.73,304There is nothing wrong with offering du‘aa’ together after a lecture
