Ruling on swearing by the right of Qur’aan

He vowed to give 100,000 riyals in charity. Should he fulfil his vow?

With regard to oaths that you swore falsely saying that you did something in the past or did not do it, and you were lying, there is no expiation to be offered, but you have to repent to Allah.


How to Expiate for Swearing by Allah and Lying

A vow in intention only does not have to be fulfilled

Ruling on offering expiation for breaking an oath (kafarat yameen) in the form of money

Swearing by the life of Allaah is permissible

She said to her husband: You are haraam to me until the Day of Judgement
