Ruling on offering the funeral prayer when the casket is in the carIs it permissible to offer the funeral prayer when the casket is in the car outside the mosque, and the casket is not placed in front of the imam inside the mosque? A Muslim brother in our community died, may Allah have mercy on him, and they brought him so that the funeral prayer could be offered for him, but when we finished ‘Asr prayer and stood up to offer the funeral prayer, we were surprised to see that the bier had been placed in the car outside the mosque, and the casket was not placed in front of the imam inside the mosque. Is it sufficient to prompt the dying person to say the shahaadah or must we also remind him to repent?Should we tell a dying person first to repent from kufr, shirk, biddah, kabair and riya etc. and then tell him/her to recite/pronounce shahada as I have seen many persons doing major/minor shirks, biddah, kufr talks etc. but when on their dying bed people just tell them to recite Shahada and no one tells them to make taubah from above mentioned sins. Moving the grave of a foetus buried in land that is to be soldFour years ago, one of the sisters had a miscarriage, losing the baby after the time when the soul had entered the foetus. It was buried in the back yard of a house belonging to a Muslim friend of her husband. Do I say the doa in my daily prayers or just read the Quran as a gift for him? What I mean is how can I help him as a mother? My father also passed away quite some time now and what do I do to help him. I am so ignorant on this. I read that a child's prayer for his parents is good but what of a mother to the deceased child especially one who is not married and with no children to doa for him. Please enlighten me on this. Thank you and wassalam.
