Do nursing infants see the angels and the jinn?Do children see the angels or the jinn? If a nursing infant laughs when he is looking at an empty space in the room, does that mean that he has seen an angel?
Good dreams are one of the parts of prophethood; what are the other parts?Do we know what the other forty-five parts of prophethood are?
Ruling on saying, “So and so is going to cause us to become disbelievers”One of my classmates in college said, a few months ago, “He is going to cause us to become disbelievers,” meaning that the professor is so harsh that he will make us lose our faith and become disbelievers [this is a colloquial Arabic expression]. Has he become a disbeliever because of saying that?
If animals go around in circles, does that indicate that some event is about to happen, or is it a sign of the onset of the Hour?If birds, animals and fish go around in circles, there is a debate on social media nowadays as to whether this is a warning of some event that is about to happen on earth, or it is one of the signs of the Hour. Is that true?
She is concealing her conversion to Islam from her family, and they force her to prostrate to their idols; what should she do?I am a revert and accepted Islam, But the problem is I am financially not independent and my parents don't know that I practice Islam. my family forced me to prostrate before idols and I did it because I cannot tell them otherwise they will throw me out of the house. also, I don't have any female friends except a male colleague, I am not telling you this now because of Islamophobia in my society, I have siblings and their studies and life may get affected, my parents are suffering from disease, plus we have nuclear family, my father is the only working member and we don't have a stable income source, I am studying so that I can help my parents financially. 1. Should I tell them about my religion? 2. If no how to protect myself from doing shirk? if I don't tell them they will again force me to do, sometimes they tell me to do worship and as there are upcoming festivals in January and later in other months also, I couldn't give an excuse of periods,I don't have friends even to whom I can go neither do I earn that I leave this place. CAN YOU GIVE me ideas at least to protect myself from committing shirk( as there is a ritual of prostration just similar like sujood in some of the worship, i am).
How can a disbeliever believe after Allah has cursed him and expelled him from His mercy? In more than one place in the Holy Quran we find that Allah, may He be exalted, curses the disbelievers or the one who accuses chaste women and the one who speaks ill of the Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). It is well known that according to Islamic teachings, cursing means expelling and casting a person far away from the mercy of Allah, may He be exalted. So how can one whom Allah, may He be exalted, has cursed become a believer? How can the disbeliever enter Islam when Allah, may He be exalted, has already cursed him and cast him far away from His mercy? I hope you will answer this specious argument.
What is the third eye? What is the third eye, and everything that is connected to it? Is it real? What is the ruling concerning it?
Superstition about the number 666I heard that the number 666 is the devil's number. Is this a superstition? If yes, what if one avoids writing it only because he or she does not want to imitate the kuffar. Also, is there any supplication or dua one could say as an expiation for any superstion? What if one avoids actions or does actions due to beleif of superstitions? How can one repent?
Reading Messages on Fortune-telling: Allowed?Does the 40 days of salah not being accepted affect me if this happens lets say get a text message and its a prediction for my future and read it 2 or 3 times just to be sure if its a fortune telling does the 40 day of salah not counting have an affect on me as I did not go to a fortune teller on purpose.
Can You Stop Sinning out of Love for Someone?I have a friend who has repented, as he used to be a Rafidi. He is asking about the ruling on refraining from sin out of love for a created being, such as the one who says: I shall refrain from sin out of love for Ahl al-Bayt, or I shall never disobey Allah, may He be exalted, out of love for Ahl al-Bayt?
Does believing that humans have the ability to cause earthquakes constitute shirk (associating others with Allah)?I have often read on social media websites about the HAARP Project (High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program), and that humans are now able to create earthquakes and tsunamis through this technology. My question is: is believing in this project regarded as associating others with Allah (shirk)?
If a disbeliever becomes a Muslim but is still persisting in a sin, is his Islam valid? With regard to the difference of opinion concerning repenting from one sin whilst persisting in another – whether we say that it is valid or that it is valid if the other sin is of a different type, or it is not valid – is that applicable in the case of a disbeliever or apostate if they become Muslim whilst persisting in a sin, or is his becoming Muslim valid in all cases? We are hoping for a quick answer because we have a big problem.
A response to the specious argument that if Allah is not unjust, why do people vary so much and the provision of blessings that they have?I have a question that comes to my mind often, and I cannot find any answer to it. What is the meaning of the hadith which says, “O My slaves, I have forbidden injustice to Myself”? If Allah, may He be exalted, has forbidden injustice to Himself, then why does He not share out provision among people justly? Why has He favoured one group over another? Why are there people who have wealth, knowledge, beauty and everything, and others who do not have anything? Why did Allah, may He be exalted, not give each person everything? In other words, what sin did those people commit to whom Allah, may He be exalted, did not give anything? I want a detailed answer, because doubts about Islam and about Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, keep coming to my mind. Also, is it permissible for me to pray against people who transgress against me in words, who have not reached puberty yet?
From Eternity to Here: Islamic ViewI, praise be to Allah, am a person who believes in Allah, may He be glorified and exalted. We know that Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, has no beginning and that He exists from eternity. But in the field of mathematics and linear numbers, we have learned that what is from past eternity is described as negative infinite. If this is the case, how did we get to the present time, meaning how did we arrive from negative infinite to zero, when this is mathematically impossible in terms of time? I hope that you can resolve this confusing issue for me.
Types of Creation in IslamMy family and I were on a journey, and we were listening to the shaykh on the radio. In his talk, the shaykh said that Allah created the smartphone. I objected to that and said: The phone was manufactured by humans, piece by piece, and Allah, may He be exalted, did not create it. My mother asked me: Do you think that you are not created? And I said yes, because I think that creation refers to that which is created from nothing (like the creation of the heavens and the earth), or is creation through a miraculous process (like the creation of Adam from dust). As for me, I was created from a sperm and egg until I became a baby, so I think that it is formation and transformation, not creation. I gave the example of bread which is made from flour and water, and is not created. One of my proofs is that if birth is creation, when did this creation occur? So I am asking: is my argument valid? Is there any sin on me for thinking about these topics?
Knowledge of the Unseen in IslamMy friend asked me a question about knowledge of the unseen, which was as follows: We know for sure that Allah knows what has happened and what will happen, and how what did not happen would have happened if it did happen. His knowledge was written in the Preserved Book before He began to create everything. If I set the alarm on my phone for a certain time, and I tell the people around me that the phone will ring at the time that I already set, does that mean that I know the unseen?! The answer is definitely not, for I surely do not know the unseen. The question now is: how can we say that Allah knows the unseen (al-ghayb) when He has already written everything that will happen in this universe before He created it? This is similar to the example about setting the alarm.
Is this statement that is attributed to ‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) sound – “Did you come to know your Lord through Muhammad?”?How sound is the hadith: ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib asked: Did you come to know your Lord through Muhammad or did you come to know Muhammad through your Lord…? to the end of the hadith.
Ruling on reading books and articles by fortunetellers and astrologersIf I read some comments on an old text from a female fortuneteller about what would happen in 2020, to find out whether she spoke the truth or not, will my prayers not be accepted for 40 days?
A comment on the phrase “Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) is not mentioned at times of hardship but ease will be granted”Is the following phrase valid from an Islamic point of view: “Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) is not mentioned at times of hardship but ease will be granted”? I already know the virtue of sending a great deal of blessings upon the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) in the hadith, “…Then your worries would be taken care of and your sin would be forgiven.” Is there a connection between mentioning the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and things being made easy? Isn’t Allah (may He be glorified and exalted) the One Who makes things easy?
A response to one who claims that Allah loves to punish and torment peopleHow can I respond to people who say that Allah – glorified and exalted be He far above what the wrongdoers say – is sadistic and loves to punish and torment people?
